"Modern Amusement I" - a Fashion Night

Date: Summer 1998
Venue: Aarbergergasse 40, Bern, Switzerland

Modern Amusement I was the first show I organised under the management of Boutique Kitchener, in 1998. I was obsessed with creating a concept which provided the perfect context for the clothes. I was extremely pleased with the result and received very positive feedback.

‘Modern Amusement’ took place at the urban but glamorous courtyard where Boutique Kitchener, the skate shop Sportingoods and the bike store Visionen are located. ‘Modern Amusement’ was an exciting and stimulating event for all senses: The fashion show featured a traditional catwalk, paired with dance acts and BMX performances. Behind the shop-windows of the stores involved, people could get themselves tattooed, pierced or body-painted. The public could also peep into the hairdresser Coiff Your Yuccess and observe how the team styled the models and dancers. The event was rounded off with a big party.
