"Modern Amusement II" - a Fashion Night

Concept
‘Modern Amusement I’ proved to be a big success, so Boutique Kitchener, Sportingoods, Visionen and Delan Records decided to produce a second edition of the event two years later: ‘Modern Amusement – a Fashion Night’.
We wanted a different venue, away from the shops. We chose Dampfzentrale Cultural Centre in Bern, in which we could best display the club culture.
The actual fashion-show was built over the concept of the first show: Fashion was mixed with dance, Capoeira, beatboxing and breakdance, all layered to exhibit the urban clothing. Afterwards, the venue was converted into a massive dancehall. DJ EASE (Nightmares on Wax) from the UK «Warp» label
brought the night to it's peak.
Oh yes there was.......space with monks chanting...there was coolness with French amusement....there was opera with punk......
...there was passion......
.....rhythm and colour…...
...beats, breaks and acrobatics…. ….
.......understatement......
.........and at the end...the angel and the Indian God...inspired by Leigh Bowery.
